Inpatient Therapy

NHC Smithville offers complete Inpatient Therapy services for patients needing nursing care in addition to physical therapy as they recover from injury or illness. Our specially trained nursing and therapy staff are dedicated to assisting the full time therapy patient in restoring cognitive and muscular functioning and reeducating the body to regain full physical, mental, and emotional skills.

"Our family wishes to thank you for the outstanding care that mother received during her recent stay at your facility. After an outstanding briefing by the Admissions Coordinator on the admissions process and what we should expect, we received a reporting date which was the next day. After being admitted and getting settled down in her room, things began to happen. Immediately, we were invited to attend a Hawaiian Luau, which was already in process. When we entered the room, we were greeted and welcomed by many people. The food and drinks were plentiful and very delicious; we sure had an enjoyable time during this event.

We have never seen so much kindness and consideration as was displayed by your employees. Physical therapy, Recreation, Food Service and Housekeeping all did an outstanding job. Often times, individuals in this type of operation receive only complaints, never the thanks that they deserve. We can truthfully say that everyone that care for mother displayed the "can do" attitude. Many times, the little extra touches seem to go unnoticed, but we are all aware of the extra effort provided by all.

It is really heartwarming when you see a nurse or aide hugging and kissing a patient on their cheek. This usually happens each time a service is provided. We ask you to convey our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to each and every individual for the outstanding service they provided.
